Overview

Rainbow Lanes collects and uses personal information so we can take bookings, answer group enquiries and support customers. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Booking details: the name, email address and phone number you give us when you reserve a lane, along with the date, time and party size of the reservation.
• Account details: if you create an account, your email address and password credentials, held by our authentication provider. Your name and phone number are stored on your profile so bookings can be prefilled. If you booked as a guest and later ask us to email you a sign-in link, an account is created for that email address at the moment you open the link — so that your existing bookings have somewhere to appear. You can have it deleted at any time; see Data deletion.
• Group enquiries: whatever you choose to tell us on the quote form. Only a name and an email address are required; everything else is optional.
• Security and abuse prevention: your IP address is recorded for a short period so we can rate-limit bookings and enquiries, and refused attempts are logged.
• Cookies: sign-in cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies, and this site runs no analytics or tracking scripts.

How we use information

• Hold your reservation and show it to you and to our staff.
• Send you booking confirmations, changes and cancellations.
• Reply to group enquiries.
• Sign you in, and keep the site from being abused by bots.

We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anybody.

Payments

This website does not take payments. You pay at the counter, so no card details are ever entered here or held by us.

Legal bases

We process your data to perform a contract (your reservation), to meet legal and accounting obligations, and for our legitimate interests in keeping the site reliable and free of abuse. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us run this site. They process data on our instructions only:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting, where bookings and accounts are stored.
• Resend — sending booking and enquiry emails.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — checking that the booking and quote forms are being used by a person rather than a bot.
• Sentry — error monitoring, so we find out when something breaks.
• Our hosting provider — serving the pages you are reading.

Data retention

We keep booking records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet accounting requirements. Rate-limiting records are short-lived. Backups are held for a limited period and then purged on a normal rotation.

Your choices

• View and update your details, and cancel upcoming bookings, from your dashboard.
• Ask us to delete your account and data — see Data deletion.
• Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing the address below.
• Manage or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to customer records is restricted to staff accounts. No online service can promise perfect security, but we treat this seriously and fix what we find.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Children are of course welcome at the alley — but the booking is made by an adult. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
